Somewhere to exercise
Being an avid gym user is great, but the monthly fees associated with going to the gym can start to add up. That, combined with the pressure of finding time to get out of the house and travel to the gym, or issues such as finding childcare so that you can get away, can make exercise inaccessible to some people. However, you could use an enclosed structure in your garden as a home for any weights and other exercise equipment that you like, so that you have a place that is yours just to focus on exercise and self-care.
A makeshift office
Many people have been working from home in the last few years especially, but this can put increasing demands on your family home, particularly when you are short on living space as it is. It can be stressful to have to find space for all your office equipment indoors, and when you don’t have definite areas for ‘work’ and ‘home’, you may find it difficult to unwind at the end of your working day. Using a garden room is an excellent way to solve this problem, as you make use of your available space without taking anything away from your home. You then have a very clearly defined workspace, with plenty of natural light (and an incredible commute!) which you can personalise to suit your needs.Storage space
If you are somebody who likes to host events in your home frequently, you know that having lots of extra people in your house means coming up with lots of extra places for them to sit. Having an enclosed space in your garden means that you will have somewhere to store that extra furniture. This is much better than a traditional shed for storage, as while the furniture is in storage it will serve as an excellent entertainment space in its own right.Your very own spa
Getting a hot tub at home has become much more accessible in recent years, with finance options making them affordable to many. If you own a hot tub, or are planning to get one soon, then you could set it up inside a garden room and use it as your very own spa area. This would mean that you are sheltered from the elements so you can enjoy your hot tub in luxury, and you could even prepare an area with face masks, aromatherapy, and anything else that you might want from a spa.
An at-home cinema
There is something very exciting about going to the cinema. Seeing a new film, getting lots of sweets and popcorn to keep you going, and of course getting away from ‘real life’ for a little while and just focusing on the big screen in front of you. With a garden room you could create your own at-home cinema, by putting out some seating and using a projector to project the film onto the largest wall. Make it an authentic cinema experience by using a popcorn machine and keeping a mini fridge filled with your favourite cinema drinks. Have you ever considered getting a garden room installed in your garden? What would you use it for?
